Chinese, western and other herbal formulas are used in helping the body to help itself.

Behavioral Counseling

We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. These problems are best taken care of before they ever start or are first noticed. It is highly recommended that all dogs (and especially their owners) go through obedience training. In more serious cases behavioral modification under the guidance of a dog trainers will be indicated. In really serious cases medication may be indicated.

Pharmacy

Individualized Flea Control Programs

We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services

Our hospital is not equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets’ complete health care needs. We choose not to duplicate these services already offered by your conventional veterinarian. We do not function as a primary health care provider but rather compliment the services provided by your regular veterinarian with holistic options.

Surgical Services

We do not do any surgery. All surgical services will be referred back to your regular veterinarian.

Anesthesia

Any procedure requiring anesthesia will be performed at your regular veterinarians. We do not have the facility to provide post anesthesia observation and hospitalization.

Radiology Services

X-rays are highly indicated in all cases of acute onset or chronic pain and lameness. You are referred to your RDVM for this service.

Electrocardiography Services

ECG and/or cardiac ultrasound are indicated in all cases of possible heart problems. These services should be performed by your regular veterinarian or a boarded specialist.

Dentistry

Preventative dental care is one of the most important things you can do for your pet. This includes brushing and encouraging effective chewing. Once dental disease develops it is not possible to provide effective dental care without the use of a general anesthetic. This highly recommended service should be performed by your regular veterinarian or a boarded veterinary dentist. Proper preventative care can then reduce the need for further dental proceedures.

Laboratory

All laboratory work necessary to diagnosis and then monitor the success of or complications from conventional and holistic (YES! there can be complications to holistic care) treatment should be performed by your regular veterinarian.

Permanent identification

Tattooing or more commonly microchip identification is highly recommended. This service is provided by your regular veterinarian.

Emergency Care

Because we are not a full service hospital we are unable to provide emergency care. Please contact your regular veterinarian or click here.

Supplements

We use a wide variety of nutritional supplements to support your pets health.

In selected cases we can recommend a wide variety of other modalities such as homeopathy, aroma therapy, cell salts, flower remedies, etc.
